Paul & Kitara’s Abundant Hearts
I love Paul and Kitara's love story. Most of all, I appreciate their openness in sharing how they, as licensed relationship coaches, share their abundant hearts to help others thrive in their relationships. Geneva Off 6th had the pleasure of planning their romantic anniversary picnic celebrating twenty-one years of love and marriage. After watching the couple's wedding video from December 21st, 2005, we customized a "Shades of Blue" theme with hints of silver to reimagine their special day. To top it off, we incorporated surprises along the way that would remind the couple of their special day 21 years later. While sharing their wedding story, the couple, who can laugh about the moment now, shared how they'd spent most of their budget on food and a band that unfortunately tapped the wrong keys throughout their reception.
Most importantly, their first dance ended in disappointment as the bride walked off the dance floor in dismay. Recreating this moment was a MUST, but flawlessly, of course. Upon arrival, the couple enjoyed their "first dance" again to the sounds of a saxophonist playing My Sweet Love by Patti Labelle. Tearjerker moment! Up next was their after-wedding meal, Mcdonald's. Besides our locally-sourced charcuterie, the couple feasted on Big Macs, fries, and McFlurries. The best surprise was a video from their only son and blessing, Joshua. He thanked them for giving him a safe and beautiful upbringing in Japan. It was also evident that he grew up surrounded by pure love, as he acknowledged having an example of love to show his children someday.
Other personal touches included cake pop resembling the bride and groom’s ensembles, framed pictures of the couple throughout the years, nameplates, vows etched on acrylic, and a playlist of the couple's favorite hits and oldies.
